Mr. Avinash Salunke Founder of Pestomatic Controls & Barefooter School. Founder is agriculture graduate from MPKV Rahuri in 1991, got trained in ACABC programme sponsored by MANAGE, Govt of India in Dec 2002 at Pune Agri College. Started Agri-Entrepreneurship by resigning stable job of good salary. Started carrier as an extension worker dedicated to provide lab to land services in rural sectors. Initially the name was Sheti Davakhana means AgriClinics later change to Pestomatic Controls. For permanence in Agri-entrepreneurship work started was providing Plant Protection as well as Pest Control services using locally available Plants, Herbs & Extracts. Azadirictin was first CIBRC taken for the production of the Neem oil. Later on several license were taken. Fumigation accreditation was taken for Quarantine fumigation to save grains of the farmers. Post harvest losses are higher was biggest investigation this time.
Along with this insect supply to colleges like Cockroach was big job as source of earning without competition. Allied jobs were Gardener, Practitioner Entomologist and Fumigator were jobs that gave versatile experienced without income as extension worker. The income was in the form of the Agri produce of farmer and no cash. This was unique experience In brief that changed life providing feel of permanence without money. Thanks to dear farmers for providing such as wonderful training course that gave me opportunity for to learn problems of Villages, Plant Protection and Rural Psychology in this display. Currently on the basis of this study as a result we have designed low cost least toxic baits attractants and repellent to protect ecosystem and rural life.
